We had a long warmhearted telephone call when you told me about John's death. I know what you and your family have lost and how demanding the last years were for you. John was such an active man before his accident, always ready to help where there was a need. I reflect with gratitude on your visits to Franconia equally my two visits to you in England. I value your and John's participation in my children's development over the years. Equally I can say that I have a vivid interest in your own children.
